A Discussion Paper on Indoor Air Quality Investigations of Houses Used for Marijuana Grow Operations
The purpose of this study was to investigate a small number of indoor residential marijuana grow operations (MGOs) in Canada in order to gain a better understanding of the physical damage and the environmental contamination present. The CMHC Indoor Air Quality Investigation Procedure identified safety issues related to mold and excess moisture in 12 former MGOs, and led to detailed recommendations for the rehabilitation of these homes. This discussion paper also highlights the need for a nationwide harmonization of remediation requirements for ex-MGOs.
