2001 Participation and Activity Limitation Survey: Issue 8 — Profile of the Housing Conditions of Seniors with Disabilities
This Research Highlight is one in a series examining the housing conditions and characteristics of Canadians with disabilities and focuses on seniors (aged 65 years and older) with disabilities. The study found that 15% of Canadian seniors with disabilities live in a household in core housing need. This proportion varies considerably from province to province, with the highest (18%) reported in Ontario and the lowest (8%) reported in Saskatchewan.
