First Nations Mold Remediation Case Study: Membertou First Nation
67294
This study profiles mold remediation efforts in the Membertou First Nation, an urban community in Nova Scotia. This community's approach to solving its mold problem included getting the resources to identify, diagnose, prioritize and deal with mold problems, and then training community members to find and deal with day-to-day home repairs and perform inspections and basic renovations. The community now has a core of skilled workers able to deal with mold in existing houses and prevent mold in new houses. (© 2011 CMHC)
