Impact of Architectural Form on the Potential Energy Performance of Multi-Unit Residential Buildings
The project can increase the understanding of the relationships between the architectural form and features of high performance multi-unit residential buildings (MURB) in relation to their energy performance. To explore these correlations, multiple computer simulations of several variable building design parameters were analysed, including the potential for renewable energy generation on-site. The outputs of this project can guide architects and engineers on how to optimize the architectural design of a MURB in relation to its energy use.
