Reduction of Air Intake Contamination in High-Rise Residential Buildings
By using water flume and wind tunnel evaluation techniques, the likelihood of exhaust air from one building being drawn into another was studied. Results show that careful consideration of the placement of outdoor air supply grilles and building exhaust stacks can minimize the potential for cross-contamination problems. A set of design criteria is included.
